Tomato vs Human – What’s the real difference? We share as much as 60 percent of our genes with tomatoes, but the tomato has around 7000 more. Is this key ingredient in ketchup and our summer salads, more genetically complex than us? It is time to untangle the muddled legacy of tomato-human domestication. Domestication implies agency, which is generally assumed that only humans possess, but is it actually the tomatoes that are running the show? Scientists today are discussing that plants might have not served us as much as we are serving them. Take a look around you! Hasn’t our lives and diets become significantly less variated since before we started to cultivate plants? We’re opening up space for you to live out and explore your most greasy self, and the hidden beast inside you. “Brouhaha” is a live-action roleplay, a workshop, or a ritual that takes form in an interactive room that will change during time. What the experience will be for you, is up to each one to decide, and create. It could be a game, a play, a transformation, or a place to lose - or find yourself. Come as you Are. It is describing a lumpy shape, something awkwardly cumbersome and is a synonym for bad behavior or potatoes. But first and foremost, the Knöl is something that we don’t want, that we’re trying to erase from our lives in a craving for perfection. There are a lot for inspiring lumpy things out there. One is the chewed chewing gum that you can find under a table or sticked on to the buss seat infront of you. Another one is the dough, with it’s huge, swelling, smelling, warm and unruly shape. There are also those digital lumps, that suddenly breaks the computerized logic, making it more unpredictable and somewhat organic. What about the body? A body within the concept of a lump could be viewed as a deviation from a normative or ordinary state of being, investigating in what that particular state requires. A body, despite its natural ways, gets shaped after whichever circumstance you put it in, as a way of adjustment. These adjustments could be seen as either natural or artificial, depending on whom you ask. We would like to explore the body as a vivid organism, without any regard to exterior restrains or expectations. Body as motion body as silhouette body as smell body as noise body as work body as rest body as moist body as sweat body as person body as many body as lump body as dough body as clay body as gum body as potato.   Get back The Knöl is something that stands out, something different that interrupts anything otherwise flat and homogeneous. During this week we came up with this concept. In a video podcast we let the audience vitness us doing labour / working on a new piece. We discussed the concept of the Knöl (lump) and came up with other things that also have a lumpy character. Trash is one of those things. It is collected in unwanted piles and becomes an abstract mass.
